Oop! Shh! I'm sorry, sorry. I can't remember what I said. What was it again? Welcome to Spock. Sorry. I work as assistance admin. I work in the healthy communities team. I'm an independent review officer. Library assistant, social care officer. Countryside officer. What about the job? Well, I've been here for 14 years now. It's just a nice environment to work in. There's training all the time and I feel very supported. I've been doing the job for about 30 years and I love it to bits. I feel the library is the heart of the community because of the relationships that we form with our clients. It's a bit of a dream job, to be honest. Sometimes it feels more of a hobby than it does a job. I've always felt it's been quite a supportive local authority. I've had some brilliant managers, worked with some brilliant colleagues. It's a great authority to work for. I've been with the council now for seven weeks. Everyone's been so friendly. Everything was there ready for me on day one. I've had loads of different inductions, so it's all been great. Being able to get involved in different courses, progress, develop. There's opportunities for getting involved with apprenticeships and extra learning. My team is absolutely amazing. They're the most supportive team you will ever, ever meet. Different experiences, which is amazing because you never feel alone. I love working at Stockport because it's a really connected team and it feels like we're all in it together to do the right thing for local people. We all sort of like lean on each other. We're all really supportive. We know how to communicate with each other. It's really sort of that element of teamwork. I've always felt really included. It's somewhere where you can be open about any issues, problems, struggles you have. It's really great to be part of a place that really looks and sees you for you and not what you can and can't do. I think we've got one of the best wellbeing offers in local government. We're real trailblazers for it. Colleagues and staff and our partners really are our best assets, so we want to look after them. Hello and welcome to Stockport. I'm Michael Cullen, Chief Executive of Stockport Council. Whenever there's civic events, everybody turns out and it's amazing to feel the atmosphere. There's a lot to do and it's really pretty as well. There's loads of nice bars, loads of nice restaurants, that's the whole kind of thing. Theatre, cinema. I've lived in Stockport all my life. I absolutely love the place.
