Hello, my name is Sara Brylyn, and I'm a librarian with the Stockport Library Service. Today, I'd like to tell you just a little bit about reading friends. Reading Friends is project from the Reading Agency with the aim of bringing people together to read, to share stories and to chat. It offers fun, relaxing sessions, which are a great opportunity to share stories, meet new people and just have fun. Stockport has been hosting Reading Friends since December 2018, but unfortunately, with Coronavirus, we've not been able to meet in person for quite a while. But, Reading Friends is continuing with a telephone call. A member of library staff can ring up anyone who's interested and talk about reading, share a short story or poem, and talk about what's interesting in libraries.
