Morning everyone. Welcome back to Stockport Libraries Storytime. Today Story is called five more minutes and it's by Marta Altes and published McMillan Children's books. Time is a funny thing, dad talks about it a lot. But I think I know more about time and he does. That's why every morning I'm in charge of letting him know when, it's time to wake up! dad always asks for just five more minutes. He thinks five minutes isn't very long, but that's not true. Five minutes is a long time. Look how much we can get done. We can even make dads breakfast. Dad often says we have no time, but that makes no sense. We always have time, time for puddles and time to make new friends. Time to juggle and time to watch the birds. See, I know more about time and dad. He often gets confused about time. Dad thinks an hour is a long time. That's not true. One hour isn't very long. We've only just started playing, and Dad always says its time to go, when clearly its not. Time often surprises dad, but this never happens to me. I always know what time it is. now it's time to run to swimming! and Oops, Now it's time to go. See, I know more about time than dad. He doesn't have a clue. He says dad time is peaceful and quiet, but once more he is wrong. Dad time is fun and loud! Dad always says time goes very fast. That's not true either, because I know time can go slowly, especially when we are hungry. sometimes time goes very, very, very slowly. I wonder why? Times a funny thing dad talks about a lot, But even though I know so much more about time than him, every evening I don't mind letting him be in charge when, it's storytime! I don't know how, but dad really does know a lot about this kind of time. And I always asked for just five more minutes because I know exactly how much time that is. Lots of time with dad. So for our first song today, I thought we'd have someone else who knows a bit more about time as well. we'll sing hickory dickory dock! So if you are ready, get your mouse ready. Hickory dickory dock, The mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck one. The mouse ran down, Hickory dickory dock, tick tock, tick tock. Tick tock! Hickory dickory dock, The mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck two. The mouse said Boo! Hickory Dickory dock. tick tock, tick tock tick tock. Hickory dickory dock, the mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck three The mouth went Whee! Hickory dickory dock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock. Hickory dickory dock, The mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck four. The mouse said no more.
