Rebecca: We’re looking for social workers to join Stockport Family who believe in the power of social work to transform children and families lives and who are passionate about making a difference. Our restorative model of practise is mature and well embedded and it means that our relationships with families and each other are at the heart of all we do. Ash: Kind of partnership practise that we’ve got here in Stockport that is so strong and we really do really consider, y’know, thinking about working as a family. Rebecca: Our social workers work with children and families from the start of social care involvement to its natural ending because this develops trust, consistency and better outcomes Ross: I work very closely with 3 or 4 schools now to make sure we’ve got a great offer from early help through to social care for those children and families. Rebecca: In Stockport Family we push ourselves to work creatively and this means social workers have the opportunity and permissions to do things differently. and have access to a whole range of specialist and innovative services. Ash: the role, because it’s so specialist, I’ve been given lots of opportunities to, kind of, create it. Rebecca: And, social workers are part of an integrated service alongside colleagues from health and education so you have the connections and the relationships you need to meet families needs. Mo: we work very closely with the rest of the services that are within Stockport and they actually sit with us in our offices.
