Hello and welcome to the Live Well Getting Online Offer, a toolkit video to help you make every contact count and get residents onto the online offer. So getting online can change lives, we know this. The residents in our borough are very disadvantaged by not being able to access the online world through having devices that are too old or don't have devices. It could be lack of finances to replace them or get devices. They might be paying too much to be online with expensive tariffs, maybe not be skilled or confident online, not have access to home wi-fi for lots of different reasons and not understanding the online world or being very fearful of the online world can also create this digital divide for many of our residents. Now we can help residents through the great Getting Online Offer we've got through Live Well using Making Every Contact Count conversations in all of our spaces. Let's see if we can get residents to understand the offer. So what do you need to do? Well supporting residents is as easy as getting onto the Live Well landing page. You can see it on the video on the right hand side there. Scroll down towards the digital pages, there it is, support with digital and the DigiKnow pages now arrive. Now these take people through an offer, improving digital skills, access, the workshops that we've got available, it could be about learning, reducing costs, whatever. Click on any of those tabs, it then takes you on a journey through that, how to get online, how to access the different services and organisations that are part of the DigiKnow partnership. It's all very easily laid-out on the Live Well pages. You just need to direct them to the landing page through the Live Well. Now we're very fortunate in Stockport to have expertise on a phone call. So if you're struggling to navigate those pages, you can support a resident to get onto the DigiKnow helpline. It's a fantastic way of getting residents to feel supported with expert information, help and support from a human being. It's great. So find the number on the first page of the Live Well DigiKnow pages. Starting Point, our principal partner as part of digital will help redirect that resident to the right option with a full menu of activities and offers. There's a great digital event searching function on the What's On in Stockport tab as well. You can change the category to just be Digital Skills. Click to find out what's on, find what's on tab there and then all the events that are on that day, the day after will appear in a linear form there. You can see a few of them scrolling on the right hand side there. That is the full range of training events, opportunities, the data banks which can get reduced tariffs and options for sim cards available, computer classes, digital support drop-ins from our digital champions. There's masses of events. It's a really event led offer when it comes to digital. So access those, book on them. Some of them are drop-ins, some of them are booked before. They've all got contact details and a map if necessary. It's a really easy way of finding out what the digital offer is as part of Live Well. And finally free wi-fi is available. We've got a great map to help residents find out all the free wi-fi places in the borough. If they don't have it at home you can help them, support them, get onto the free wi-fi map that covers businesses, public buildings, restaurants, community centres. Click on those tabs. For example there, Great Moor Library. That'll give you some basic details and we can encourage residents if they don't have access to wi-fi to go to those public spaces and places and access the internet without having to pay for it.
